'Minds' man signs deal with ABC~ Chris Mundy ~2007

Rolling Stone scribe-turned-TV producer Chris Mundy has inked a multiyear, seven-figure overall deal with ABC Television Studio.

Mundy, currently co-exec producer on the ATS/CBS Par-produced Eye hit "Criminal Minds," will continue on that show next season. He'll also develop new projects for the studio.

Before joining "Minds," Mundy was supervising producer on Jerry Bruckheimer's "Cold Case." He also worked as exec story editor for Dick Wolf's "Deadline" and as co-producer on the David E. Kelley drama "Chicago Hope."

Mundy came to the TV world from print journalism. He was a senior editor at Rolling Stone for 10 years, writing major profiles on celebs such as Brad Pitt and Conan O'Brien.

Ed Bernero remains exec producer and showrunner on "Criminal Minds." Bernero inked a megabucks deal with CBS Par Network TV earlier this year (Daily Variety, March 9).
